954rr dies and starts up again. dont know what problem is

ok so this is the shimmy

i have a 02 954rr. the bike starts up fine. as soon as i leave my house and get to the corner it dies. it does this really almost anytime i am in low rpms ( slow down to take turns, stop at light ect)
when i am riding on the freeway or somewhere where i am using throttle constantly, the bike runs nice and strong.

i recently had hids put in. and as u may no the 954 has all three lights into one fuse. i initially started with just the high beams as hids and the bike ran fine. when i put in the low beam it started having this issue. i recently unplugged the power to the ballast and it still has this problem.

could this be something with the kill switch? thanks for any advice in advance.

i have read a couple forums and am having some trouble finsing someone with the exact same problem.

No MIL flashing on the dash though?
You don't lose the instruments and you don't have to cycle the ignition switch to restart?
Unplug the headlight connectors to confirm that is where the problem is.
What is your idle speed?

Re: 954rr dies and starts up again. dont know what problem is

the only code i get is the servo cuz my exhaust is chopped.
when i try to restart the bike the dash goes out sometimes and il have to flip the kill a couple times and turn the key back and forth occasionally.
i unplugged the low and the problem is still there.
idle around 11-1300.
thanks blade

Do the tests of the charging system but I don't think that's the problem, it will be one day though.
Are the battery terminals clean and tight?
Have you checked the grounding junction block buried in the front of the harness? They tend to corrode and come apart.
The kill switch should be always on - if you use it regularly then that may well be the problem.
