Hi.
I have cbr 954 and I have pretty odd idle issue.
Bike start up nice when cold but when it get running tempeture it does cough. Sometimes it does that all the time when idling, sometimes rarely.
Under 3000rpm it`s a little annoying drive in town because itīs not running so smooth but think it`s normal ?
Here is video VTR 1000f that have same problem and my bike do exactly same.
I have check fuel presure regulator many times and don`t see any sign of fuel.
Could that still be broken, because fuel consumption is little upper than last year. I also smell fuel when cold start, but that is normal ?
I did sync thorttle body and when I started bike I did see 3,4 body are way out of balance and have to adjust those immediately otherwise oil (that I used in my sync tool) would ran into thorttle body.
Now idle is more smoother than before but problem did go a little worse. It does that cough more often than before ( in my opinion).
I did also notice when I get throttle body balanced, after that I give a little throttle and rpm rise about 2500rpm I can see in my sync tool that 3,4 oil surface get high and 1,2 oil surface get down.
And when I unleash the throttle, oil surface 1,2,3,4 recovery back the middle.
Can this mean something, air leak, something wrong in starter valves ?
Here is video where you can see that all 4 surface does rise same amount. About 2:30 it does that:
I have homemade sync tool, like this:
So, have you guys any idea what is wrong.
Bike function otherwise pretty good.
Bike have HTEV eliminator, K&N air filter, pair valve blocks but no commander.
EDIT:
Today went ride and after driving a little while I stopped and notice little fuel smell.
I can also hear ticking when bike idle, pretty much same as this zx-6r:
