sad news, my 929 got hit:-( my leg a little too

well, a few days ago I got clipped standing behind my 929 and my 929 got blasted!!!!!!! I was off to the side of the rode half way in a drive way! keep in mind people park on the street! I was stopped because my dumb ass ran out of gas a guy stopped to help me, I moved my bike over on to a drive way, maybe my bars hung over! keep in mind people park on this street, start talking to him then BAM!!!!! leg get clipped and bike gose flying about 10 to 15ft! it landed on the left side, then the wheels flipped over to the other side! I thought she hit the back first but she didn't, she hit the swingarm! if she would have hit the back, I would be dead or messed up! Still looks pretty good??? swingarm is done, bent and she knocked the swingarm spool mounts off, my 954 swingarm sub frame is also done, she knocked the peg mounts clean off! it's bent a little too! scraped up my radiator cover a little, knocked my mirror off, put a small crack in the front fairing, tail is a little scraped up, right and left sides! but it still runs and looks pretty well? thank god for frame sliders!!!! you really wouldn't know anything happened for 10ft or so....

Check for oil leaks, I've seen two 929 engines break the cases from heavy hits to the swingarm. One guy didn't notice it until after a huge highside he had due to the leak.

People like that need to lose their licences.

If the bike isn't braking properly, you don't start by rebuilding the engine.

Lots of people like that don't even bother getting licences - means nothing to them.
I was in court once behind a guy up on his _fifth_ "driving under suspension charge", all from the same suspension. He was going to jail that time as he clearly didn't consider the court's judgement to have any value.

Re: sad news, my 929 got hit:-( my leg a little too

Best one I've heard of is a 14 year old boy getting busted after stealing a car and going on a joyride. The court banned him from driving for 2 years ... not bad considering you can't even have a licence until you're 17. Pointless much?

I had an apprentice working for me that was banned for several years before he ever applied for a licence. He was an alcoholic at sixteen, and going downhill unfortunately. Used to ride dirtbikes through parks and neighbourhoods to get to work and was regularly being chased and caught.

Sorry to hear it Tweezy, glad you weren't on it. Hope yu squeeze every dime you can from the bitch, I don't usuauly advocate suing beyond whats fair, but supposedly thinking she hit a trash can? She's either a liar or one hazardous bitch on the road, probably on the phone or putting on her makeup, and not stopping, some people deserve the worst. Glad your ok.

What a bitch!
I have no tolerance for scumbag douche sucking people who cause considerable damage and then run. I'd be making a lot of noise about the hit and run to the police, the insurance, and if you choose, a personal injury attorney. I guarantee you will get 3 times more money if you hire an attorney. I'm not advocating it - you make up your own mind. I think she should pay a hefty price for trying to run. If she did it to you, she'll do it again, and may have done it before. Bitch!!!

EDIT: I wonder if her phone records would show a text or phone call at the moment she hit you?

Could ask the NSA ... they'd know.

That's how that Metrolink engineer that failed to see the warning light and caused the fatal train wreck years ago in the SFV was found at fault. Records showed him texting with his son at the moment the GPS showed him passing the light.
