Thinking about selling

I am considering selling my 1993 CBR 900RR. It is the original black and silver, and it's in pretty good shape considering the age. I don't want to sell it to some kid who is going to wreck it, I would prefer it to go to someone who knows what it is and will take care of it. It's my baby, lol. Just kinda testing the water right now, seeing what kind of interest there is and how much I can get for it. Any advice?

Maybe some pics and tell us about anything that's not original?

Re: Thinking about selling

In my thread 93 3 year 96-98 900rr winter revamp there is good information on what a modified 93 black and silver would go for with around 30k on the clock. I sold it in 1999 for $11,500. In 2012 it was on Craigslist for $3500.00. I just bought my current 93 sans fairings (an old original standard build from 1998) non runner for $500. Even mint I would imagine $2k is somewhat reasonable for a stock machine or slightly modified??

Current 93. Non runner (needed carb clean) now running. As you see it was $500. Hope any of this helps.

Re: Thinking about selling

It's pretty much all original minus the Two Brothers exhaust, flush mount signals, an integrated LED tail light, and polished frame. Has about 35,000 on it, runs great. Thanks Ian, that's some good info. Still not sure about selling, but my wife and I found "the perfect house" and need a little more for the down payment.

Re: Thinking about selling

Tis purdy! If I were closer I would probably indulge myself (the the dismay of the wifey) and have to pick it up lol. What's your asking price?

Re: Thinking about selling

Thanks, it is purdy, (but I'm a little prejudice where it's concerned!) lol! I'm actually located in New York state right now due to my job. Not sure on an asking price, just sorta feeling things out and judging interest right now. Never thought I'd actually consider selling, so not too sure yet, lol

Re: Thinking about selling

Great bike, I still have my 93 I bought new. If you were in Colorado, I'd be interested, but New York is tough, for me. Good luck with sale, if you decide to sell.

Very nice bike, but dude, your garage is waaay too clean! I haven't seen the walls of my garage in years. I'm pretty sure I have another bike around, I just can't find it.
