929 speedo out

Hi. I've just purchased a 2001 929 and noticed that my speedo was out so I checked and it was running 15/42 sprockets. So I changed to 16/42 but it is still out. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes it's Fast. No you can't ride it.

GPS may not be accurate, and the speedo error is probably normal.
Nobody has invented a speedo yet that is accurate at all road speeds. ADR's only require 10% accuracy I think, within legal speeds.
A mate of mine has been running GPS on the track and it doesn't even give the same speeds each lap.
