1996 RRT Carb Balance

Hello gents,

thought I'd share my work today. For one reason or another I fitted new genuine main jets, pilot jets, and needles to my carbs. Reassembled them put carbs back on bike and had a leak from one of the T piece fuel supply O rings.
After replacing the O ring and refitting the carbs they obviously needed balancing.
Thought I'd show my relatively easy method.

The No3 Carb's (master carb) butterfly valve is opened by the idle adjuster. The No'1,2 and 4 have their own screws to synch to No3.

If you look down the engine side of the carb you'll see 3 small holes (in the picture). Pick a point where to set No3 Butterfly too (using the Idle adjuster) and then match exactly by eye No's 1,2 and 4.
I picked a point where the middle hole of the three was just hidden which left about 1/2 of the last hole uncovered.
Matched the others too it, fitted it all together and started her up. She fired straight up and was pretty much bang on with the vacuum gauges requiring only very small adjustment.
I'm sure this is obvious but hope it helps anyone whose got totally out of synch carbs
