quick chain question

Hey people,

So I recently acquired a brand new chain from a friend who purchased the wrong kind for his bike. He wasn't able to return it as he opened the thing so he just gave it to me. I was wondering if it was usable for my bike.

My bike is a 1995 CBR900rrs completely stock.

The chain is a DID 520vx2 X ring chain. it has 114 links.

First question I have is how many links does the stock sprocket configuration have, and the second question I have is will this chain fit?

Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks people!

If you have 520 sprockets it'll fit.

Re: quick chain question

blade is normally 108 links, as BR says you would need to also change to 520 pitch sprockets.

As it happens im in the market for one.. fancy selling it if you dont want to change the sprockets?

Re: quick chain question

As stated, it won't fit if you have stock sprockets. They're 530 width, not 520.
This would be a great opportunity to change your sprockets; how many miles on them?
As a rule, it's not a good idea to put a new chain on old sprockets unless you really know what your're doing.
