Is it always supposed to say FI on cluster??

Just swapped my motor and my cluster says FI but there is no red light or anything. Starts and idles fine. Does the FI always stay on and just illuminate red if theres a problem?!

The FI on the 929's should not remain on unless there is an issue. If you have an aftermarket front-section on the exhaust (i.e. No HVIX) it should trip the FI and MIL.

Check your service connector isn't bridged.

Bike in Neutral, side stand down, kill switch set to run, turn on the ignition. The pump primes, guages self check, and the FI light is supposed to self check for a second or so, then go off.

Goes back to some other post I made. If you put everything together and something isn't right... take it back apart and put it together with less "I wanna ride!!!" enthusiasm to fix it =)
