clutch adjustment

Just got a cbr 1000 and took it for my first ride today, love the bike but find the clutch engages right at the end. Is there a way to adjust it? The lever is almost all the way out before the bike moves, I had a 954 before and it engaged around the middle. thanks for your input

Re: clutch adjustment

Back off the adjuster screw at the end of the cable at the handlebar making sure you have some free play on the lever.
If you are talking about a hydraulic clutch system then sorry can't help other than the adjuster wheel at the lever.

Only by the lever span adjustment as far as I'm aware.
Or try bleeding fresh fluid through the system.
