Re: comfort/touring options for a 929rr?
thanks for the reply's would like to hear how much adjustability you where able to get with the apex clip ons before contacting the fairing
well I found a site called cycle ergo and was looking at how the geometry would change with bar mods. It was interesting to find that a SV1000s has about the same forward lean angle geometry which was surprising. If I can lift the bars 2" and bring them back 1" that will get me where I want. Seems most sport bikes are around a 31 degree forward angle while most ST bikes are around 10. With the 2"rise and 1" pull back I would be at 23 degrees which is acceptable and with a seat and possibly those 100.00 rear sets to adjust my legs another 1" it just might be enough. I'm planning a 760 mile 2 day ride with 860 miles return ride in another 2 days with a few days in between and want to enjoy it and not loath getting on the bike the second day.
Another thing i noticed when looking at the corbin seat is that it may push my seating position further back thus making me bend over more. I tend to sit right up on my tank because I have shorter arms.
