Re: My new Bike
Change out ALL the fluids. Brakes, fork oil, coolant.
Check condition of brake pads.
Get a friend to help you set riders sag on your suspension.
Download or buy a service manual. This is pretty important, it will go through all the things you need to check out and instructions for all maintenance. The stuff that needs doing on a new-to-you bike. In the Honda manual, it's section 3.
I'm guessing that your fuel pressure regulator may need replacing pretty soon. They don't like being stored. So be ready for that.
Buy a tube of dielectric grease and get in the habit of putting a dab on anytime you unplug and re-plug an electrical connector.
Good luck. There's plenty more things to go over, hopefully others will chime in.
Did you say first bike? Any previous riding experience on street or dirt?
That's a very clean looking 929, good score!
