929 fuel tank pipes

Can anybody tell me were the thin pipe that pushes onto bottom of fuel tank goes to. It has a t connection so far down cheers .

It's just a tank vent, i run mine to open air.

Why does it have a t piece. Does pipe that runs from t piece not connect to anything

Could it possibly be a California model that someone deleted some of the emissions (that normally would have gone to a charcoal canister on a CA model)?

That's the case with my bike. It's a CA model. I don't know what the 49 state bikes or Euro bikes vent hose routing is.
