Lever Protectors/Guards for 929 blade

Hi all,

As the thread title suggests I'm after some lever protectors/guards for my 929 blade - the same sort of thing that they have in MotoGP.

There are tons of cheap ones on eBay from China but i've finally found some from the UK - Tech-7 Lever Protectors Black Pair

Do you think they will fit? It specifies 14mm or 17mm and i'm not sure what size the handlebars are on the 929 blade?

Cheers

Alex

Made exactly the same as the ones from China... except they look more poorly finished than the ones I bought.
I would ask the question where do you think they bought them from?
this is mine

I would honestly say that the one you are looking at was originally purchased from China also but you are having to pay their mark up.
I have been very happy with mine

(not really standard at all to be honest, but it keeps me amused!!!)

Any chance you could share how you fitted yours? Should be simple but I think they may have sent me the wrong adapters. I've tried both combinations - short bold with two spacers but it is too tight on the throttle side and causes the grip to stick and it also seems too loose i.e. you can literally grab the guard and twist it round - seems it would just move in a crash.

The other combination with the longer bolt seems to be for another type of bar whereas the bar in the 929 blade has the sort of cut out of the bar end socket if that makes sense?

Some pics of the combos I tried -

Cheers!

The guards are not supposed to save anything in the event of a crash. They are supposed to stop other riders from bumping your front brake lever during a race.

I toyed with them, but decided they wouldn't fit with the bar inserts, went with R&G bar ends instead.
