Does anybody know if the 929 Stator is a better stator than the 954? I wrecked my bike and busted the cover and ordered one for a 954 and the center where the stator bolts to is smaller. I called the place and he said I had a 929 cover. Now I know my bike is a 954 100% but I am wondering if somebody swapped it out due to it may be a better stator. Also I am wondering a lot if my bike has had a motor swap to a 929. Is there any where I can check on the motor if its a 954 or a 929 motor? Some stuff has made me wonder before from my buddy stating that the 954 will come up on him 1-3 gear on his and it was stock mine would not. I changed the sprockets -1 +2 in the rear and its made it a completely different bike. I dont know why somebody would change the motor but i have got a speedohealer for a 954 and it hooks up right along with the pair valve delete which bolted right on. Just really wondering here if I have a frankenstein or not. Mainly what I am asking is the stator better and where can I check for more places or a number to tell me what motor is on the bike.

What part number is the cover?
Engine number is SC50 for the 954, SC44 for the 929.

MCJ-1 was on it which is apparently for the 929 which they are sending me now. The one they did send was the MCJ-75 which is the 954. He sent me pictures of the one he's sending (MCJ-1) along with gasket and return label for the other. I am just glad they are working with me. They are a great company and customer service is great.
