954 front sprocket question?

So I put my front sprocket on and new oem washer, then the bolt and torqued it down. My front sprocket moves on the axle horizontally.. hard for me to explain, but should there be something else between sprocket and washer I've read somewhere that the washer should be cupped but its new original part and it was flat.. or should there just be some room for the sprocket to move around

Re: 954 front sprocket question?

It is normal for the front sprocket to move slightly left to right. As long as you put it on like it came off and torqued the nut. I tried to upload a pic to show the sprocket on your bike. I googled the service manual just to make sure. Hope I helped!!!
