My Sargent seat pan has a crack!

I took off my Sargent seat as step 1 to do the flapper mod, and noticed that the seat pan had a crack in the middle going from left to right. It goes all the way through. I don't think this is something to be concerned about, but was wondering if anybody else has had this problem?

You would think, but I only weigh 170 lbs. Must be those high powered beans I ate.

Re: My Sargent seat pan has a crack!

I'd give Sargent a call and let them know about it. Hopefully they'll make it right.

Mental note: Don't eat beans and ride.

Re: My Sargent seat pan has a crack!

My stock seat has a crack that goes from the front to the back (or back to front depending.....) everytime I sit on it

Gonna have to rename that Sargent to Private

Let us know about the flapper mod & low end bog please.

I did the flapper mod and the low end bog is greatly reduced and the 3,500rpm surge is gone, so I reloaded the Erion map and all is good with the world. The Erion map makes the bike feel much peppier. I didn't notice any increase in noise, but I do have a Loud Erion pipe. I say just do it. It takes about 20 minutes, that's all.

Give up the chili...your seat will last longer.

Sorry, but I had to say it

Bikes and women - both have nice curves.
