1995 CBR900RR - flooding out question

My bike tends to want to flood out now days. I've replaced the battery and plugs and keep the battery on a charger. My question is - will shutting the fuel off at the petcock after riding and letting the bike run out of gas hurt anything?

I've tired tons of combinations to resolve the flooding/fouling plugs problem but have not tried this yet. I'd like some feedback from the forum before I run the bike dry though.

Thanks for any advise you guys can give me...

Re: 1995 CBR900RR - flooding out question

Hi, no it will not damage the bike but don't flood it when you try to restart it. Why do you think theres too much petrol going into the carbs? are the plugs wet? is it back firing?

Sounds like the carbs need rebuilding.
