Cross threaded header nuts!!!

I just put a full system on my 954, and three of the OEM header nuts were cross threaded!! They came about half way off, bound up, and unscrewed the studs. I didn't think it was a big deal until I put them back in and after the studs were tight, the nuts wouldn't tighten down even with lube. One got stripped while trying to tighten it and I stopped there. I hate Honda right now . Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Cross threaded header nuts!!!

Warranty time dude! Even if you're out of warranty they should make that right. Might be a tough one to prove who's at fault though .

What a bitch! That's one thing I don't like about soft alloy bits on bikes, they tend to **** up threads really easily if you're not carefull, except in this case it wasn't even your fault! I'd be taking it back and telling them to fix the bastards!
