HELP

Ok so I have a 02 954 I has salvage frame. I have a clean frame. I swapped them put everything together i had no fuel pump. So I pull up tank and find fuel pump unplugged. I turn key fuel pump primes then it starts runs for min I shut it off go to start again it won't start.... I have fuel well I have prime in the pump and after bout 10 seconds the fi light goes off and red light comes on like normal nothing out of place all connected. Wtf is going on I put battery on charger and I'm now waiting to try fresh battery. Wtf is going on only things I disconnected where gas tank air box and all the accessories in the front they are all good. I can turn key hear pump prime and push ignition button and sounds normal everything turns like normal... I'm going to check spark when I get battery charged can I check spark old fashion way with screw driver on boot end? Please help 8 have had issue in past with chasing down wiring problems due to no pump but this is not the case....

Gas tank is making gurgle sounds on the chair bet to me? Is there air l9ck or something.

Ok so I put battery on and say **** it set tank on top and turn key it started..... so idk wtf is going on.... battery??

Have you done the usual checks. The fuel pressure regulator and take apart the kill switch and clean it up? Maybe it is just the battery or you kinked a hose when putting the tank down?

Yea I did the checks nothing was wrong or out of place so either I kinked gas line or battery was weak.... strange.

take you time. retrace your steps. be patient. sounds like some Valium or half-a-dozen beers will do you more good than anything else

So I have the bike together and was running fine I went to plug headlights in and one side wouldn't reach so I lifted tank took off airbox and disconnected the light wiring harness from everything re ran the main harness end and plugged everything in and now she wont start again. I tried bypassing tip over see 8f it was the problem it is not.... I have fuel prime..... crank no start......

Ok so o lift up take looking with flash light there's some gas on the frame below fuel pump. So I wedge tank up dig around jiggle lines now ot starts?

Hole in gas line wtf................. can I just replace with line and fittings or am I going to have to get new fuel line with ends?

you gotta buy the whole line with the banjo ends on it. ron ayers has a nice parts fiche where you can look up the part number and buy it there or another site like partzilla that sells oem parts. once you have the part number i always go to ebay n put the part number in the search to see if one turns up. sometimes there are good oem parts listed from dealerships going out of business etc etc n might be one listed for less.

unfortunately its about a 70$ piece wherever you buy it. trust me when i tell you its not something that can be repaired either. : )

Ha ha ha ha soo being a hoarder of 929 and 954 parts pays off I have a spare hose....... thanks guys. I was gonna try repair till you said that so I looked around and found one.
