how to know if front has been lowered 96 900rr

hey all, i just bought a 96 rr and i know it was lowered. the rear isnt an issue ill fix, but i dont know how to tell if the front haa been lowered. i cant seem to find any measurement and such anywhere triple tree seems to be in the right place. anyone have a measurement i could use?

The only real way to lower the front is to slide the forks up through the yokes/triples, which should be pretty obvious.

You mean, legs in the tree seem to be at the right position is the fork cap just above the top crown of the triple tree... or close enough?

a. Cut my fork springs - Possible variable.
b. Wallet open - Buy new fork springs or spend a little extra more for performance springs.
c. Change in pocket - Buy pvc pipe, cut to length of those coils lost sawed off.

If it's running a 17" front wheel the forks might have been dropped very slightly through the clamps.

it is running a 17in front wheel so the forks tubes are about 1/2" protruded through triple. I was hoping for some measurement of the front cowl to verify.

That's about right, they've been dropped because the rolling radius of the 17" wheel is greater than the 16" original, mines the same.

cool thank you! the rear is definitely lowered and same thing im not sure how. seems like stock link, stock triangle. bike has a fox shock and eibach spring. think its adjustable?

Brock Performance 930242 BROCKS FRONTEND LOWERING STRAP Remove this.
