Hey chip and dale , remember this thread from 3 weeks ago

Not even a thanks?
WTF

Well, it's a good thing I don't judge or hold grudges.

Was hoping for some background in the thread I posted in, but you didn't provide any. Still need that.

Generally a neutral light that stays on even when in gear is a grounded wire in the harness, fooling the switch into thinking it's not in gear. You'll have to trace that to rule out a bad switch and what wire may be damaged.

Did you have any other electrical issues up to the clutch diode failing? They usually don't just fail. They typically need some other electrical issue to come about, such as a charging system failure that leads to burned insulation, wires grounding out, etc. If it's not found early, catastrophe can happen and connectors (especially the starter relay) can melt and ruin the associated wires. That's typically why the main fuse blows.

Start with a bit of background leading up to the ruined clutch switch/diode and more specifics.

Looking forward to it.

Expecting a thanks on the net? They can suffer with their problems if I feel the needed for a thank you. Goes with the territory so you suck it up. On the other hand, I let the squid have it just so no thanks is coming anyway, see how they like the social event.
