DID 50va8 chain 954RR

Dear friends, have a question, my 954rr has a DID 50va8 chain, I need to replace it, but I would like to know if this chain is 530 or 532. Can anybody help me with this question?

Thanks in advance.

Re: DID 50va8 chain 954RR

You should replace chain and both sprockets at the same time. Worn sprockets will cause premature wear on a brand new chain and vice versa, shortening the life of either in a major way. With that being said, may as well get the 520 conversion kit. And just for reference chain number are 5= 5/8 of an inch long link, 2= 2/8 of an inch wide inside where the sprocket rides. Cant remember what the "0" means. But anyhow, plenty of newer liter bike track day and racers convert to 520 with no problems at all. It will wear a little faster than a bigger chain. But its not something you'd need to replace every year or even every other year. Just get a quality set, preferably steel sprockets. I'd suggest DID chain and AFAM sprockets.

Re: DID 50va8 chain 954RR

Mr. Coalminer Frank, I really appreciate your quick response. Today I have made some adjustment in order to fix "a little bit", the problem that I have now. However, I will change the chain, and I will take your advice. I saw on Amazon, a DID kit (chain and sprokets), I will order a kit like that.

Thank you, will let you know when the change is made.
