Optimum track suspension setup for a 929?

Hello,
Going to Buttonwillow this weekend with my stock suspended 929. I am 6'1" and weigh 205lbs. I did not touch the bike for my last trackday at T-hill and it sucked. I had the sag adjusted but the bike was set way too soft and pogoed around. I like the suspension hard so that I can feel the road. I heard the stock suspension was crap but that's all I have to work with for now. At this point, I have it set so that almost all settings are one turn from the hardest setting. What do you guys reccommend?
Thanks!

At least get springs for the front. The rest will do you for now.

agreed....your front is the worst. I weigh 220...at only 5'10...on a 2001 929RR

and I re sprung my front forks with better oil etc. Also had a rear shock built just for me as well.

Even my slow butt...needed it. The front will just DUMP on you it cannot take the weight. Get new springs and change the oil and crank it all the way to hardest level and it should be ok. Mine is set that way.

Good luck.

Re: Optimum track suspension setup for a 929?

6'2" 225...on my stock front I had the preload set at 1 3/4 - 2 turns out from full for the track...it kept the front from nose diving..but on very very fast kneedraggers like the carousel at Road america the front was a brick...no feel at all. i think I was about 1 3/4 turns out from full rebound damping and 2 1/4 turns out from full on the compression side. This setup worked pretty well for me untill the last few track days when my lap times started to come down quite a bit.
With the sag set appropriately up front...the front end SUCKED
Hope this helps
