2004 cbr1000 Bent fork

The bike flipped. .Upon inspection I found a bent fork on the upper right. And a slitly twisted top triple.Im going to replace the entire front end to be safe and so not to loose anymore riding time. Im looking on Ebay and there is some 06-07 front ends. Will there be any issues with clearance with the calipers and discs from the 2004. And is it better perhaps to get some other front end as a mod since im changing the front end? Thanks guys,,,!!!!

Re: 2004 cbr1000 Bent fork

What bike are you putting the front end to? The difference in 04-05 and 06-07 front ends are different springs, 10mm bigger discs on 06-07. The clearence for the bigger dics are sorted out with 5mm spacer under the brake caliper on 06-07 that can be taken of if used with 04-05 discs. Triples, rim, front axle etc. are the same.

Mine has custom ones on my 06 front end since i'm using different brake calipers and 330mm disc from 954.

+1 on what he said.
If you're just changing forks and triples then you'll need to remove the caliper spacers. I'm surprised you don't have a bent rotor or wheel.

Your 04 came stock with .88 springs and 06/7 came with 1.0
