Blade Prices

Has anyone else over here in the U.K noticed that early carbed bikes are definitely on the rise, 929's and 954's has remained pretty static over the last couple of years but even rough early bikes are about £500 more than two years ago and a reasonable twin headlamp bike is up at least a grand.

Re: Blade Prices

Yep !!! Early ones are getting collectable - its an iconic bike like the 916 or GPZ900 - ground breaking for its day - I love mine !!

Re: Blade Prices

You DO realize that places like this site, and folks like yourself and Ian are to "blame" for the sudden rise of price & demand

Re: Blade Prices

I'm not benefiting from the rise in prices as I'm buying and not selling, I've been looking for another sub £1000 early blade project and there's nothing out there which runs and stops. I've been offered a running 1999 CBR600f which is very cheap so I might have a punt on that.

Re: Blade Prices

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay... advertised price doesn't mean sale price.

higher value comes at a cost as it will bring the thieving element into nicking decent bikes for parts etc.... which then adds to the supply and demand.

(not really standard at all to be honest, but it keeps me amused!!!)

Your right to question that ad Bill. Not a 2002, an RRW or RRX. 98-99.

But looks ok to me. Wish I had more $$ for another project.

Theft of older sports bikes is on the increase, Ive started being more vigilant and I now take a lock and chain with me, problem is that a decent one weighs a fricking ton!

Re: Blade Prices

I'm actually pleased the prices are increasing - at least it means I might get some the money I've put into it back !! If the prices were stagnant then maybe people wiould n't bother restoring them

Makes my Blade seem cheap, but I did sell it to a very good mate so let him have it for what it owed me i.e. £3,400.

Cheers

ONLY because you have a 954 can you say that. The weight loss though between an RRP and an RR3 after 9 years was about 30lbs, only to be immediately gained back and then some for the RR4 1K. Baba was the MAN
