2002 954rr

Hello everyone.

I recently was given a 2002 CBR 954rr to rebuild. Cosmetically it is great and apparently ran before it sat in a shop and was picked at for parts for a few years. It is in a few different pieces and I can't figure out if the dash is wrong for the bike or the plug isn't there, attached are pictures of the plug which is slightly bigger than the dashes receptacle.

Is this the wrong dash for this year or should I go find the correct wiring harness?

thanks in advance.

Post a pic of the front (dial side) of the dash so we can identify it.

Re: 2002 954rr

The grey & blue connectors connect the main harness to the front end harness. Neither of them go to the back of the gaugepod.

I'd look around, but if it's been "picked at", chances are that front harness has been appropriated.

@ unslow1

I was thinking that could be the case, now that I am looking at a diagram this makes sense and it appears I need the harness "8"

Re: 2002 954rr

See if they want to do euro running lights, if so you can buy a euro harness instead of the US harness. I just did this for my bike. Plug and play unless you wanna keep the side lights as running/flashers like I did instead of just flashers like the euro bikes
