Indicator spacers

How do you install them? Decided to go LED, rears fit fine on new tail tidy, the fronts need a spacer, which i have, the spacer fits inside the hole perfectly, but i thought it would fit over the hole, giving the rear plastic bit something to tighten against? What am i doing wrong? Bike is a 929.

I think that's the spacer he's talking about.

I was thinking it was the solid bit attached to the signal stalk.

Spaz will have to clarify.

Re: Indicator spacers

The hole doesnt seem to be stock, on my 929 it doesnt have that raised black area. I have protons on mine and i didnt have to modify anything as far as the hole of the where the light is attached to. as far as i remember the stock went all the way through and was bolted on the exterior near the fork. its been a while since i seen stock turn signals.

Re: Indicator spacers

The hole is the outer part of the fairing, there is an inner part (honeycomb) where the stock indicators bolt to, like a lot of the 929, it's a fckn pain, and turns out no-one has made a correct spacer for the bike. My uncle is fabricating another spacer, to sit just under the plastic one, it will sit on the outer edge of the hole, and give the indicator something to bolt down to. The hole is stock, the raised black area is a rubber grommet that sits in the hole, if yours doesn't have it, it's missing it.

Re: Indicator spacers

Tada, home made spacer, from steel, and fit properly, a lot better than the cheapo plastic crap that doesn't even fit.
