CBR 929 Mirrors

All,

just been the proud owner of a 2001 CBR 900 RR (929) - and want to use my bike on the street as well as on the track.

To easily swap between street riding setup to track I'm looking into the fact to use the newer Blade mirrors - the onces with the running day lights and turn signals.

This means I can easily put the mirror on and off, together with the turn signals and as a bonus extra safety on the street.

Does anybody know if the OEM mirrors of the newer blades will fit? Meaning the diameter between the bolt for the mirrors - are these the same?

I know that I need to drill an extra hole in the fairing - but that's ok - as the fairing is not the prettiest anymore.

Thanks for your wisdom guys.

Re: CBR 929 Mirrors

Hi, and welcome.

Can't help right this minute (nearly 11.00pm in UK) , but I have a 929 and later models. I will look in the morning and post my findings.

You might find another problem will be wiring. As far as I remember, the 2017-18 models have LED running lights which means you would probably need to incorporate a resistor into the system.

Re: CBR 929 Mirrors

Without taking my mirrors off the bike it looks as if they could be a very close match.

See here for the 929:

and here for the 2017:

Like any mod that needs adaptation, there might be some fine tuning with holes and lower plates to secure mirrors properly, but with car and attention I think it would work.

Re: CBR 929 Mirrors

well - short story - the mirrors on my CB600S (2002) are fitting my Fireblade - so no need to buy these mirrors as the primary home of the fireblade is going to be the track.

Also ordered some 2012 Fireblade mirrors with the indicators in - but it's going to lots of work to hack this together - so will sell these puppies soon.

Thx guy's!
