Nose cone.

Hopefully an easy question! Are the nose cones on a 96-97 the same as 98-99, i.e. are the lights the same?

The mounting points are the same. If you got a 96-97 nose, you could swap the headlight and fairing stay and be fine.

Partially true Skant, the 95-97 US models share the same upper fairing stay, headlights, speedo, and speedo bracket. The 98-99 speedo bracket is different, longer, and has a an angled front mount. The mirror bracket is also slightly tweaked so may not line up perfectly, and the 98-99 headlight is a different shape.

Yes but the question was asked again, for some reason.
