Hi just wondering if there is a difference in the carb or airbox setup between a 1992 cbr900 and 1995 cbr900?
I have a 1992 cbr900 and put a set of 1995 cbr900 carbs on it and now the the airbox bolt doesn’t line up. It’s about an inch higher and also further back than the hole.
The carbs are seated properly and the box is also seated properly not sure where else to check?
Hello superg, Just checking on my favourite parts website, it looks like the AirBox Base is common across most CBR900's for most territories for both 92 & 95 model years, so you should be fine.
Is the Carb (small) air-filter canister (see picture) in the right location to bolt onto the main air filter airbox? I am just asking to check that the AirBox is correctly located/positioned on the Carbs .......
Same all around. No change from 92-99. I have a 93 on my 99. I would guess where the box meets the carbs needs some looking into. I know I have to wobble and push mine to get it to meet that stud on the coil bracket.
Thanks all, found the issue. The carbs weren't fully seated at the back all fits now
