Difficult to give a definitive answer to this unless someone has actually done it.
Most reviews of the 954 claim subtle differences to the 929, including chassis. Some of the most authoritative information is contained within MCS site which is a golden chest of info for all bikes. You will not mention to minor chassis changes as well as ECU upgrades (which would impact on loom compatibility) and also throttle body dimensions up from 40mm to 42mm, also impacting upon compatibility with your present injector system.
I would think it would as the 954 is pretty much an over bored 929 with different cams and larger inlets. The mapping for fuel and ignition of the ECU from the 954 won’t match the engine but will probably run, if a bit rich on fuel.
