Can anyone tell me what this part is with the Green wires running to it? to me, it seems like a grounding terminal. my dash lights won't show and my head lights are Dim. As you can see in the pics I have a lot of corrosion on this part. I was going to cut all the wires out of the terminal and solder them together. do you think this will fix my problem? if not does anyone have the fix?
Typical problem on the 929. It is a ground block, and will wreak havoc on your electrical system when it corrodes like that. If you can't salvage the block itself, cutting and combining the wires is your next logical step :thumb:.
Cheers, Ian. My first thought was a short of some type - pure sign of dimming lights - but I had nowehere near the knowledge to pinpoint exactly as you have done. @cwa1521 should be up and running very quick!:wink
First modern Honda that I know of with the ground block like that. It’s up behind the dash and out of sight. “Well used/abused” 929’s usually fall victim to it. I would imagine a clean 929 such as yours should be good, but I suspect that it can get too hot when charging issues arise. Give yours a look just to gauge its current state. :smile
Your 954 will have 1 or 2 of them as well. I think the 954 is under the seat but not sure.
there is this one in the loom too... this has several earths and also power to the coils and injectors, amongst other things (green = earths, Black/White = switched 12v power).
Wow, this would go along way in assisting others:cheers: in the same problem.
