Re: Error Codes....

Hi all, I've not posted yet on this new forum. *But I need your help...............I am currently on the Island (survived Mad Sunday ).........and I'm getting 3 long flashes followed by 4 short. *The PC111/loom connector blocks got wet the other night (bike parked on the seafront, me parked in a pub)....but WD40 seemed to cure the resultant missing and farting. *The Flashing continues, and the local Honda dealer doesn't know either.

I've got the use of a PC of a friend who has a flat near the seafront in Douglas, and I'm here until friday night. The bike is running fine but that red light is worrying when you're doing mad speeds on public roads. * Had a dice with a Police car the other night, on the Mountain, passed him flat in fourth *Where else in the world is that a common experience *

Anyway, anyone know what that code is ?

Disclaimer ; Did a search, found nothing, don't know where else to look for this stuff, although I know you folk are a little tetchy about answering a question more than once every millenium........... *

Re: Error Codes....

Hello!

My service manual says:

34: Faulty EGCV (i guess this is the servo which moves the flapper in the airbox and the exhaust valve) and air intake valve servo motor potentiometer voltage.

Symptoms: Engine operates normaly

Hope this is of some help to you!

Re: Error Codes....

I'm grateful for that, quitting worrying right now, searching for some insulation tape. Weather here is variable but looks to be ok for the next couple of days. No racing today, so off to the Honda day at Peel, and the Calf of Man for a sarny, with a friend in a BMW convertible, will do a lap later if the mist stays off the mountain. Tomorrow is the production 600 and the senior tt, looking forward to it. The mountain stays one way for an hour or so after the racing, so I'll be poised and ready myself. Thanks again, speak to you all soon
