Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

I 'updated my red/black 2002 954 with 2003 fairing panels from a black red........making mine all red. Just some minor 2003 decal updates and it was complete. I like really the results as I wasn't too keen on the amount of black on the 2002 model. Plus a red seat cowl and it adds the finishing touch. What do you all think?

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

Looks nice, you should see if Trick Tape or someone sell a red vinyl to cover up the Black wing tip on the tank.

Damn! I don't care that much for red. But, your's looks pretty good! But do something with the black wing tip on the tank.

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

When I read your post I was thinking, no, this ain't gonna get it - too much red. But after looking at your pic I kinda like it. Actually I DO like it!

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

Looks very trick but at the same time it looks factory
Maybe I need to put a 2002 lower on mine and make it black

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

Mmmmm, seems like people like the 'all red' color scheme but think the black tank flashes should go. I had one local guy say the same thing. Not so easy as the tank decals have a clear coat over them.........I'll have to think about that one. I also thought about removing the large black decals on the tail/seat section, but thought that some black helped the contrast. I notice that the European version of the 954 doesn't have those black tail/seat decals and it is all red.

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

I think the bike looks great. I personally like more subtle colors, but the red here looks great.

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

Here's a pic of the other side.

Also, a local guy changed his silver/black 2002 954 to an 'all black' by fitting a black top fairing, black front fender, removing the large white decal on the tail....but leaving the silver tank....it looks pretty cool.

ratter1....you gonna put black panels on your 2003 black/red?

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

That looks really good, I like solid color bikes...

An all black one would be cool too!

Very nice! I agree about the black on the tank, but it looks FAST nonetheless...

Re: 2002 954 ALL RED

I like it. Not to hijack your thread but I removed the number plates on my 03 titanium/black. Also put on my black headlight cover from planetsuperbike. Will have pics soon. That red is awesome.
