Normal running temperature for 2001 cbr 929

Can someone tell me the normal running temperature of a 01 cbr 929? Usually mine around 175-190F on the highway, but in the city sits around 217F sometimes. Just want to make sure those numbers are resonable.

Thanks,

M

Not sure about the farenheit numbers, but my 01 929 runs at around 80 degrees Celsius on the highway, In city traffic it rises to 104 degrees Celsius before the cooling fan kicks in..

Normal as can be. Your bike is running as it was designed to run. I wish I could go riding right now.

Re: Normal running temperature for 2001 cbr 929

That is where mine runs also. What the highest temps anyone has seen? I got stuck in traffic on Hwy 84 in Woodside a while back and it was near 100° F outside. My temp got to 235° F. The guy next to me on an F4I was also running in the 230s, and his bike was only 1 day old. Ouch.

Got confused here at the end with all the Celcius/ Farenheit numbers.

You meant 235° F? or did you mean 135° C, which is 275° F? 135° F and my bike is just warming up still.

I saw like 217° F in traffic yesterday in 90° F So Cal.

Re: Normal running temperature for 2001 cbr 929

Mine runs a cool 83 degrees celcius while cruising but on a hot day it can go up to 90ish degrees celcius. In stop and go traffic it goes to about 99 - 103 degrees celcius and then you can hear and feel the fan kicking in.
