help the other neewb..

I am about ready to register and insure this bike, after fixing her up from a write off..my questions are: How stiff should the throttle be? this thing will hold any idle you set it at, but the cable's are good, and the spring on the carb is strong..is somthing wrong with the bar end? it wasn't as bad before I pulled the motor,(I just don't wanna dump the bike at WOT and have the motor blow) now it's pretty bad..

And, what oil should I use? It's got 30,000kms, (21,000m1) and they guy I got her off had some 20-50 or somthing honda oil..is 20-50 or 20-40 too heavy?

Re: help the other neewb..

Your throttle should snap right back at all times.
If the cable and spring are good as you say, check the control area.
If you just changed grips to a 'grippier' compound, see how much the flared end is rubbing on the throttle housing. Pull the grip away from the housing if necessary.
The bar end shouldn't cause this, but check for rubbing there, too.
