What size nut is the fork top bolt?

I have the 02 954RR. The one I'm talking about is the BIG one that actually holds everything in. I'm guessing it's about a 24mm. Anyone know?

I believe that it is 30mm. I had to buy one special and it was like $10!

Re: What size nut is the fork top bolt?

Guys,

I bought the 30mm socket and it is too small. I might have misled you all. I need the socket size to remove the blue top cap bolt that actually holds all the internals in on the forks. You know, the BIG bolt head that is on the fork itself, and is under the damping adjustment screw. Someone that knows, please reply soon. I am going to do my springs tomorrow.

Hmm, yea that's not what I thought you were talking about. Around here we refer to those as the "blue anti-boingy thingies".

Sorry, I don't know what size they are.
