Re: back to the pair valve

I'm thinking of doing the pair valve mod. I found the KB article in the old section but it's for the 929. Is it the same for the 954? I seem to remember reading somewhere that someone was thinking disconnecting the electrical controls (i think) would do the same thing as getting the block off plates from Dan kyle.......sorry to visit this topic again I'm sure it's been resurrected and buried more than its share of times.

edit: here's the link to the KB article http://old.fireblades.org/kb/article.cfm?ID=24

Re: back to the pair valve

Yea, that was my question. Do a search under PAIR valve (new site). Not a whole lot of responses, so I don't know if it will work or not. My question was based on the manual specifying that you can check the operation of the PAIR valve by disconnecting the electrical connection and checking for no air passing through reed valve (PAIR valve). With the ECU connection gone (unplugged) it seemed to make sense the PAIR valve would never open, allowing crankcase air to be recirculated back up through passages into airbox. Sorry I haven't tested mine yet, and I need to call a Dyno shop just to see if they have any input whether this would work. Sorry, alot of typing and no real help.

I'll keep in touch with you in case you find anything out from the dyno people. What you're saying though makes perfect sense to me.....
