Why is there a 180 Rather than 190 on the 1000rr? x
Just curious why Honda went with 180 rear tire width instead of the 190 selected by the R1 and 10r?
Any ideas?

As far as I know they come with the 190, so I guess I don't understand where you got tthat from

I just checked the spec sheet on the Honda website and you are correct--190!
One of the recent comparos--the Sportrider I think--listed the Honda as having a 180 on the rear. I will check my garage tonight to see what came on the bike, but I expect a 190 (my bike came with the Bridgestones).

Why not a 180? It seems that it suits bikes better than the 190, helping it transition from side to side easier and it's cheeper, and lighter.

Yeah, i also mentioned that on another thread. I guess sport rider made a typo. along with calling 190/55 a common size.
