Brake Discs

It has come time to invest in new brake discs for my 98 cbr and i really just dont know. I have seen things in magazines and on the internet that claim to be better and lighter, or just look cooler. I was wondering if anyone has any coments or suggestions about any aftermarket discs that are available compared to the stock ones that I can get from Honda via the ol' bike shop.

Re: Brake Discs

The stock rotors are very capable. It probably depends on what you're looking for: performance/looks/etc

You might try:

EBC

or

Ferodo

Is a paradigm worth 20 cents?

Re: Brake Discs

Ferodo has a closeout special on 330mm Superlites for the 929/954 at $225 each.

I'd be all over that myself if I had the spare $$.

edit: DOH, you said '98 900

Re: Brake Discs

I hated the EBC pro-lites and would spend my money on OE ones if/when I need to change them on this 929 (still originals at the mo)

Re: Brake Discs

i'm using "Braking" brand wave rotors. looks nice and they claim to be more durable than stock rotors... but it weighs so much more than the stock rotors.
