Clutch Cable question
I have a 2000 929 with about 14k on it.
My question is that my clutch cable is just about out of adjustment. Does this mean my clutches are bad?
The clutches work fine, no slipping or anything like such, I just have too much play in my cable and when I try to remove it, it puts me at my limit both by the clutch lever and on the adjustment by the engine.
I am trying to have approx 25mm of play in the lever. I have more like 30mm or so and not much more room for improvement.
Last year I had a slight kink in my Clutch cable so I replaced it with a new Honda cable. Ever since then I have had too much play.
Like the cable housing is too short. Could Honda have made a bad cable?
Or might my clutches be almost worn out?
Any advice would be great.
