It's Alive!!!

I just got the call. My 954 will be ready on Friday. The problem was the Cam Sensor. The signal was correct, but apparently the HRC sensor is 1 wire and the OEM is 3. In break in runs, the bike is doing just over 160 HP They will map it tomorrow with my EMS and finish putting it together. I can't wait to get back in the saddle.

DAYYYYYYM Bill we talkin 160 at the wheel or crank? If that's wheel hp I want to know what you did to your baby to get those numbers. I'm looking at finding a way for more hp, so I don't feel as though I want to get rid of my 954 for one of the new 1000 class bikes.

Re: It's Alive!!!

At the wheel. I bought a 954 motor from Annandale racing that was built to Superbike spec. It was never started and had:
Headwork
Erion Cams & High Compression Pistons (stock bore)
Fallicon Crank
Carillo Rods
Ferrea Valves (stainless stock size)

a few misc HRC parts. Still using stock FI and ECU. I'll post up what the final outcome is when they map it and strap it down better so it doesn't spin the tire.

Re: It's Alive!!!

Way to go, Bill! Glad you got the cam sensor sorted.

Any chance of some pics, yet?

Was that big $$? I'm sure it would be very costly to do all those mods to your own motor.

Dano

{edit} Do they have any more

Got the motor for $1500, the others were Formula Extreme, no pump gas, unicycle motors.

I don't think my skill level is there yet. I still haven't ridden it yet. It may come along and get a session or 2 on the 3rd day, but I think the F2 is more thna enough bike for me right now.

Bring it along! I'm certain there will be a couple of people that could "test" it for you

Re: It's Alive!!!

Unicycle motors... you're killin' me.

I spent my walk to lunch thinking about how much fun it would be to get one of those.

I'm sure test pilots wouldn't be hard to come by. I'll be bringing it along so my trailer doesn't look too empty. Fireblades.Org is great everyone is always so willing to help! I'll be buying diapers on Thursday and picking it up Friday. I'll try to have a ride report and some pics by Friday evening before I take it apart again.

Re: It's Alive!!!

954 with 160whp? Wow... that is sooo tasty.

$1500 for the motor, too. Sounds like a very sweet deal for an even sweeter bike. Congrats

It'd be fun to take it easy in the corners(not too easy) and then suck everyone's paint off down that long front straight!
