I just got a 929 mounting kit and FedEx is bringing the damper tomorrow. I'm getting both things used. The damper manual is online but I would like to know more about the mounting kit. Does anyone know where I can find the instructions online.
If not everything looks pretty self explanatory, what's the torque for the nut? I saw 85 lbs but what if the set screws don't line up. To I tighten or loosen the nut?
The set screws screw into a recess around the nut. Make sure you torque the nut properly and USE LOC-TITE on the setscrews, otherwise they WILL back out. Ask me how I know this....
Duh, yeah I got it put on in about 15 minutes. I guess I should have actually looked at it before asking.
Another question though, does anyone know what size bolt holds the damper to the mounting kit? I have a couple m5 taps but the pitch didn't feel right on either of them.

Yeah, set screws are important... Imagine the suprise, going down the road to see the scotts all the way to the left
