Got me a 929

Just wanted to share.. that I upgraded from my F2... to a 2001 red/black 929!

Was looking for either a 2001 929 or 2002-2003 954 and found a nice 929.

I am looking at getting a fender eleminator, flush mounts (or at least smaller ones) ... and colored light blubs (do they have these?)

Any suggestions on brands and websites?

Re: Got me a 929

Congrats... I know how it feels to go from the f2 to the 929, I had an F3 before mine... good thing you have a red/black in '01 if u wanted an undertail... i have a yellow/black one, and the yellow has a pearl in it, which the undertails/huggers that i've seen dont, although the color itself matches pretty well. I have a fender eliminator kit from ..... http://www.competitionwerkes.com/ installation went ok, I could care less for their ghetto latch set up, i had to modify mine so it wouldn't rattle and stuff, but gl with whatever you get. I have some flush mounts in the front, but to install some of them(at least the ones i got) you have to modify the inner fender to make the back side of the signals fit between the outer fairing and the inner fender well. But it looks 10X better when u finish it, so go for it, just take your time. Good luck... Chris

just a note, if u get any body pieces lile huggers, undertails, etc. you are gonna find the best stuff from euro bikes ..... they dont color match but instead use OEM paint

Re: Got me a 929

Congrats!!!! I've got a 01 red/black 929 as well and loving it IMHO an undertail looks way better than a fender eliminator especially when the color is matched with the bike. I'm in the market for one right now and looking at the Hotbodies or Targa undertail. Sure cleans up the rear of the bike nicely. Either way if you go with the CW eliminator or undertail you will be happy with it.

Good luck on your mods and your bike!

Re: Got me a 929

Thx guys... I will definitely check those companies and sites out!

Ya I should have mentioned undertail too.. because I have been thinking about that. For mike bike... what color do you suggest.... white, red or black? Doesnt the white one get really dirty? I assume red.. like this one

And what about new blubs for the headlights? Any suggestions
