Repsol?

Has anyone run Repsol in their 1000RR yet? My local dealer just started carrying it, would it be OK to use for my 600 mile oil change? Thanks

Re: Repsol?

I think Repsol is a Full Synthetic oil, but Im not sure. If it is, you want to wait until your 2nd or 3rd oil change to allow the engine to fully break in.

Re: Repsol?

I had heard somthing along those lines, so I guess I should go with Honda's brand until the next oil change. Well thanks for the help and I'm sorry about your loss....

Re: Repsol?

Like NinerPilot suggested, you want to wait until you get more mileage on your bike before switching to a synthetic. Synthetic reduces the amount of friction necessary for the rings to seat properly...or so I've been told.

Just put some in mine (1500 miles). Have only taken it for 2 short spins since, but it shifts a hell of a lot smoother, and it seems to be running cooler too (probably my imagination ).

p.s. the cool thing about Repsol (that I didn't know anyway), is that you wont be needing your trusty funnel when you're pouring it in.....
