front strap ?'s

Went to the track last night for first time only made 4 passes the fastest of which was a [email protected] the slowest was [email protected] I have no experience racing before on a bike, my mods are full yosh system, -1 front stock rear 520 kit, pc3r with custom dynoed map 141rwhp. I just cant keep the front down I've heard of straps but dont understand are they the same as tie downs for towing I know how they work but dont know where to get them or how to put them on. I would like these for next weekend. I liked racing but MORE SPEED MORE BETTER thanks for your help, Donnie

Re: front strap ?'s

its the same as a tie down strap but has buckles on each end that bolt to the forks somewhere, in my case the top caliper bolt

here are some pics if i can figure out how to post ... u may need to brigten them up cuz they may be dark ... the srap goes up and over the triple clamp, frame, or whatever works good as long as its solid

pics

Re: front strap ?'s

i put an aftermarket dogbone on my bike that i will use to lower the bike 2" now and then and the strap keeps the bike down better than the lowering link ... with the strap the bike can be muscled out of the hole alot harder and will not come up under power through 1st gear if you are leaning on the tank, and thats with a -1 front sprocket, full system with 143hp

Re: front strap ?'s

i forgot to tell you but you probably already know that you simply push the forks down and pull on the strap at the same time and it keeps the forks compressed until you release the tension on the strap with the buckle that can be seen on the pic that is looking up into the fairings
