Seller beware! (case cover?)

You may have seen my bike in the FS section. I had some local yocal come over to look at it today. ...Said he was an experienced sport biker... Yeah, right! I turned my head for few seconds to reply to his friend's question. The prospective buyer had popped the stand up then proceeded to get off it and drop it over on it's side in that brief span of time.

...I didn't see any damage other than some scratches on the left crakcase cover, so I sucked it up to my error, and said reluctantly/humbly, "<sigh> That's OK". A couple of hours later, I go back to the garage, and you guessed it... ...a big puddle of oil. He cracked the case cover.
I have no phone number or information for this guy and will probably never see him again.

I went to the PartsFish and could not find the left case cover for the CBR929RR. Anyone know where I may get one???

...and a revolver?...

Oh man, that sucks. He couldn't even throw a leg over and get off of it without dropping the bike? That just sucks, I'd be soooooo pissed as I'm sure you are. Well, get her back togethor and move on.

Re: Seller beware! (case cover?)

Sorry I don't believe you, did "he" drop it, or you? The reason I say this is because if some on test rode my bike, and did a wheelie in front of me, and didn't even lay her down, he wouldn't be breathing, and I would be in prison.

But maybe you have some really good breathing techniques. Not really serious that I don't believe you, but man how could you let him go with out a phone number? I would have stapled his squidly little nuts to a tree till I got the money. Did you check his DL for an M1? The guy I sold my 600RR to a month ago didn't have an M1 so I rode the bike next to him while he drove his cage.

Well you can't turn back time, but you can learn from your mistakes. I hope everything works out for you, I hope you also don't have to eat the whole bill for damage. That sucks man, that really sucks.

Re: Seller beware! (case cover?)

I'm thinking this guy shouldnt have been looking for a 929 if he cant even sit on a bike let alone ride one.

Cant imagine he'll have to impressive of a riding career.

Re: Seller beware! (case cover?)

oops.. I thought he popped a stand up, lol, he just popped the kick stand up, lol, I mis-read . Thats a horse of a different color. He fell over, that sucks. I guess you don't need to check the DL for an M1 after all, but since he can't even sit on a bike I guess he really wasn't a experienced sport biker. That sucks man.
