Went down this morning

While triyng to bumpstart the blade

I looked real dum doing it to in front of construction workers

There I was runnig beside my bike, all geared up in winter clothes coz it ****"$
cold down here. (No need to say I was not cold after runnig up and down the hill 3 times.) Well in the ultimate attempt to get up to speed, runnig to the max now is time to jump on the beast, I bearly touch the front brake wile in the air, slowing the bike and I end up diving on the Windscreen pressing even more on the brakes in panick I end up over the bike on my heah and the bike on the side

If this was on film there would be pepsi comming ot of noses all aver the internet I am telling you.

Thank god the cold made the plastic screws that hold the screen break and nothing else. The frame sliders save the rest not a scratch besides a little on the mirror.

What can I do beside laugh at myself

At least you can laugh at yourself jackass

YUASA makes batteries that are cheaper and IMO better then stock. Get a tender while you are at it

I got mine from DTMA online a while back for $75 ... think they are available cheaper though but I could be wrong

Re: Went down this morning

Commiserations . I'm 100% ham-handed clumsy, so dropping bikes manoeuvring or starting them is par for the course. I resort to trickle-feeding the battery of my bike to avoid this kind of problem in cold weather.

I do have a tender, and used it proprely for the last two years cold weather is responsable for this I think. the battery is getting charged as we speak.

On the last 2 bikes I have had to charge the batteries and eventually replace them rather soon after so it could just be time

Re: Went down this morning

3 times huh?? when i had to push start my bike i left the key in the off postition (didnt know if i should have laughed or cried). but why jump on the bike, i was always able to just hit the brake.

another lesson i learned with a dead battery... after you get it started from a push start, dont put the kickstand down while in gear.

Sorry to hear my friend... but at least you have a better attitude than I. I've dumped a bike in the driveway before and thrown a temper tantrum just like a little kid. I'm sure it was great entertainment for the neighbors.

Life always looks better through bugs on a face shield.

When cold like 0 degrees with wet pavement extra cold tire, I was getting more of a slippery then a bump start, even in 3rd gear
