Rear Brake Pad swap

What's the best way to remove a pad pin cover that is stripped. Nothing that I have will get it out and the dealer wants $150 to swap the rear pad since I stripped the screw. Rear needs to be changed because sparks fly when I stomp on the rear brakes. I am thinking about just buying a rear caliper off of ebay.

Re: Rear Brake Pad swap

So the pad pin itself is not stripped, just the cover over the pin?

If it's just the cover, what about a small drill bit to make a couple holes in it.

Re: Rear Brake Pad swap

Are you talking about the pad pin plug? Can you Dremel a slot into it and use a screwdriver?

Re: Rear Brake Pad swap

Can you drill it out and just buy another screw?
