silver frame'd bike.. what colour plastics?

I'm going to be repainting my 97 RR during the spring and would love to go alpine white but since the headlights are housed in chrome and the frame is all silver, i thought it may not look that good.. if the frame and headlight were black then yes I would go that route..

i'm also considering retrofitting bodywork from another make on the bike but for the sake of being flamed, i won't mention what bike that is.. but the dilemma remains, what colours look good on silver frames???

my colour preferences are:

White
Satin Black
Ducati Red
Dark Blue
Flat Black
Pink (white accents)

so.. if you have pics to assist me that would be awesome... p.s. i will put some graphics on the bike but not much... very very minimal, virtually none.. i'm going for a plain look...

hope you can help, and thanks.

There are only 3 acceptable colors for a motorcycle....

1. Red
2. Black
3. Red

well my 1 piece is white/black/red/chrome and my 2 piece is black/chrome.. so i'd be matching too well with black/red... i would like to see how a blade looks all red.. but the red has to be a bit darker than your average red enamel paint... and by a bit i mean a slight bit...

you mean the white/red 929?? to me it lacked the lustre of a proper paint job.. if the frame were black and the headlight housing black, it would have looked much more appropriate.. but this is my opinion... and I have to love the look of my bike more than others right...

My frame isn't silver on my '00..... It's polished.... The sanding removed some metal, the buffing made it slick... Now it's faster than a non-polished '00 929...

Seriously, I think that would look badass on your 900. That's one of my favorite schemes.

Re: silver frame'd bike.. what colour plastics?

If I wasn't such a huge fan of the stock pearl yellow, I'd be looking into pearl white for my 900. I think it'd look great, especially with the silver frame. And if you end up not liking the silver, then just remove the plastics and paint it black.

Easy as eating pancakes.
